Default 4wheel drive map detective

September's issue came out recently with what I believe to be a map of a washington trail area (Taneum-manastash). It looks and sounds like a cool trail system, even if it is not correct. I was the winner in the august issue, winning the jeep wrangler builders guide book. Hopefully I am correct and first on this one. Anyways, this trail system seems to be a spot in relative distance for the oregon, sw washington JK'rs to run to. Just another option for the next run which I plan on not missing. Those photos of the Fort Rock area look too fun!!! Oh ya this trail system is just west of Naches, WA.

Hi Eightball-
I've done a fair amount of trail running in the Quartz mountain, Shoestring, Manashstash Ridge and Naches Trail systems. There's a fair number of easy to extreme trails to access. Lots of tree roots and off camber stuff. This year we took a new Rubi 2 dr and a new Rubi 4dr and they had a fair amount of trouble in the snow on stock tires with no lifts- see pics of father's day run in this sub forum- now with drier conditions I think they'd do fine but I'd always advise a winch, pull strap and high lift jack for the sticky spots. It's a neat area with 100's of camping sites.

Default sounds tempting

thanks biglynny
sounds like a great area to trail. I am stock, most likely through the summer. but if a group of WA's and OR's converge at such a place, count me in.

thanks for the bite.
