Because of family & life I Might have to relocate to Bend, Oregon. Anyone here that lives there?

I have visited there once as a tourist but obviously never lived there, if anyone can give me the cliff notes on life in Bend I'd appreciate hearing it from another forum member!

Tia, you are very LUCKY that you "have to" move to Bend, OR. I've been trying to figure out how to move there for years.

I hope you like the outdoors and quality beer!

It really has some nice trails. I've been there with my quads and bikes before I got my jeep, so I'm not sure how many can fit a full vehicle through, but it really has some prime locations. I live about 3 hours away.

Default Good place to be

Bend is a nice place, A lot of outdoor stuff to do and you will be close to the high desert and the mountains, best of both worlds. Great fishing in the local lakes. I have seen some giant town deer. Summers are usually a little warm and dry with the winters being cold with plenty of snow in the mountains. It does get a little touristy, but there are good local places around. There is probably not a better town in the US for good micro brewed beer. If you have any specific questions feel free to pm me and ask away, I will do my best to answer.

best of luck

I'm in bend right now. Lots of breweries and golf. Just finished my 72nd hole of golf in three days. Now it's off to the breweries for some beers. Nice little town.

Spent a ton of time in Bend while in college...mostly snowboarding in the winter but some mountain biking too. I loved it there. I've heard it became very "California-ized" after I left. Might be pretty expensive now. But as far as location it can't be beat! I'd move there in a heartbeat!

Best of luck to you!
