Lift kit review's
OK everyone here is the deal I keep seeing threads on lift kits but they are all for one or the other. So what I would like to see is everyones first hand reviews of their lift kit.
Rules to this:
1. Brand/size of lift
2.wheel/tire size
3.Shocks
4.Pro's
5.Con's
6.would you recommend this lift to others why/why not
7.PICTURES PLEASE!
8.And please no bashing or trash talking of other lifts
MY goal with this thread is to create a thread for people to get first hand real reviews other then ones on retail sites ect. I look forward to reading about everyones experience with their lifts and seeing everyone jeeps.

There are a lot of things that play into a lift kit review and that's where you'll lose a lot of good information. You can have the average joe put on a lift kit from...rock krawler but he doesn't get any control arms and he'll complain about how flightly the steering is and how it rides nothing like his previous caddy. Then you'll have hillbilly bob come in with some coils from an f250 and says that his lift is great and it's tall.
Bottom line- without consistency, you'll get results all over the board. Most kids don't know what a "bad' ride or a "good" ride is. Let's not forget that tire choice plays into the ride also. If you drop the jeep off at a shop and say "I want it big and on 35's" then they'll do it and you'll get complaints because they went with the cheapest damn kit and run 50psi.
I've been around a couple of kits but wouldn't sway anyone towards/ away from any kit for any reason other than components. If the coils sag, lacks control arms, track bars (not just brackets because there's another reason to complain), or brake line extensions then that's important info to know.
Google 'my thoughts on lifts' and look for Dirtman's post, you should find a new understanding and appreciation for each piece in the kit and why no kit is really the best.
-my 2 cents......I'm out-

I will second that, good post Karl.
Knowing something about suspensions and how they work will go a long way in helping someone look past the product marketing to choose what is best for them.
With all the different choices people can make on components you would have a data base that had millions of unique set ups and most of the people that give the reviews have no actual working knowledge of suspensions.

@ Karls thank you for you two cents. All though not exactly the response I was looking for it is a good one. I as a newer JK owner have been on the search for a lift and have yet to pull the trigger on one. I have debated between several kits and was hoping to maybe get a better review other then the norm I love it,it's great review i find on retail sites.I was hoping that this may also help others like my self looking to add a lift but still trying to decide the type of lift that would best fit their needs.

@ thedirtman thank you as well. I am aware that there are so many different factors that do and can play into a lift. I guess when I started this thread I was not taking in to account all the other parts that make up a good lift. Now although this thread has not panned out the way I was hoping I will google the pre mentioned thread and I hope that this can still help others as well in finding whats best for them.
