I think I may get some certifications in HVAC before I move to help me find a job easier. Unless I just happen to run into something online that I'd like and am qualified for. I've also thought about just getting a job at a ski resort, maybe ski patrol or something along the lines. Any recommendations as far a work out there? What fields are good to get into? Lol I voted Maverick/MILF all the way!! Hopefully the same way out there? Pretty sure I remember all of the states in your area being red. Va is a predominately red state but went blue this time because of all the densely populated areas near D.C. (My bit of useless information for the day.)
Most all of the work around SW Wyoming has to do with, Oil, Natural Gas, Soad Ash/ Trona Mining, Coal Mining, Coal Fired Power, And Some Wind generated Power. It is a great place to find a job. But the winters here are very cold and windy. Keeps alot of people away.

Yeah I bet it does. I won't mind the cold as long as there's snow that comes along with it. Also when I was in Wy it was the NE part, the contractor said up there was similar, lots of jobs in the mines.

I'm definitely still unsure of where I'm going to move so I've got some time. If you want to go into further detail about any of these places feel free to. I'm trying to find out as much as I can about different places up that way so anything helps.
Sorry I took so long to answer. I haven't checked this thread recently. Yes, Jackson Hole is VERY expensive. We cater to tourists in every way you can imagine. That is our only industry. No tourists, no income. Off seasons are the pits. Idaho Falls is west of here surrounded by farm land, potato and wheat fields. Mountains can be seen in the distance. I don't know the exact population but it is probably 40,000 people. It is large enough to have everything you need but not too large. That is where people from Jackson Hole go to shop in "the big city". Many people living there work at the INL (Idaho National Laboratory) founded on Atomic research in the Arco Desert. Pocatello is similar size about 50 miles farther west. Driggs is a tiny little town on the other side of the Tetons. Because of Grand Tarhgee Ski Resort, it is beginning to grow. It is also a bedroom community for Jackson Hole. The Huntsman family is developing a high end resort there so land value will go up as a result. There is a very high mountain pass between Jackson Hole and Driggs. Lots of people commute back and forth. It is beautiful but the weather can be a challenge going over Teton Pass.

Hope this helps.
