Default Looking to move out West...

Hey guys, well like the title says I want to move out West. I've always wanted to and after visiting Wyoming, I really want to!! I'm mainly thinking of Montana, Idaho, or Wyoming. I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly where to move. Basically what I'm looking for is somewhere in or near the mtns that gets LOTS of snow. I want to be able to snowmobile/ski as much as possible and I love the cold so it's ok with me if it's very cold. Looking for maybe a moderate sized city, nothing too big. Just somewhere where it shouldn't be hard to find some kind of decent job and I'll be close to places to snowmobile/ski. I'm 21, lived in VA for the greater part of my life and I just want out. We get cold down here but hardly any snow and I'm just kind of bored with VA in general. I have some college under my belt and I've worked in various fields so I don't think I'll have much of a problem finding a job. Pretty much I'm going to save up a good amount of money and just drive up to wherever I decide to go. I'll be by myself so it also seems that it shouldn't be a problem to find a decently priced house/apt for rent. I'm just not sure where to go. I've read that West Yellowstone MT or Stanley ID are nice just very secluded, so maybe somewhere close to either of these places would be good. Like I said previously, my criteria are: lots of snow, places to ski/snowmobile, near the mtns, and fairly good job market. I'm not hard to please so ANY input would be greatly appreciated!

I grew up in Missoula and live in Kalispell, now. If you have questions, let me know.

I live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Our area is considered the "Intermountain West". If I can answer any questions you might have about this area, let me know. Cody might be a place you should consider too. Idaho Falls is 100 miles from Jackson Hole. Yellowstone, and Sun Valley are similar distances. Stanley is a very small isolated town but the Sawtooth Mts. nearby are awesome. Winter comes early in Stanley and leaves late. Driggs, Idaho is in the next valley west of Jackson Hole and is the gateway to Grand Targhee Ski Resort on the back side of the Teton Mountains.

I live in Mtn. View WY. It is deff not a city. What kind of work have you done? Evanston, wy. Might be an option for you I am not sure I would call it a city but it is a good size town. It is close to Park City, Utah and not really far from Jackson hole. And the Uinta Mountains are practicaly in your back yard. Wait before You move out Here We must know who you voted for? Lol! Just joking.

I've heard and read a lot about Jackson Hole. The contractor I worked with when I was in WY said it was incredibly nice, just very expensive out that way. I've tried to find info about Idaho Falls online but can't seem to find much, seems very small as well. Also that was the thing I liked about Stanley, the very long winters. I'll check into Driggs. I'm definitely still unsure of where I'm going to move so I've got some time. If you want to go into further detail about any of these places feel free to. I'm trying to find out as much as I can about different places up that way so anything helps.

I'll check into those places too. It really doesn't even matter to me if it is a small town. As for work, I've done CNC machining, drove a non CDL truck and now I'm in HVAC working on large air handlers across the country. I think I may get some certifications in HVAC before I move to help me find a job easier. Unless I just happen to run into something online that I'd like and am qualified for. I've also thought about just getting a job at a ski resort, maybe ski patrol or something along the lines. Any recommendations as far a work out there? What fields are good to get into? Lol I voted Maverick/MILF all the way!! Hopefully the same way out there? Pretty sure I remember all of the states in your area being red. Va is a predominately red state but went blue this time because of all the densely populated areas near D.C. (My bit of useless information for the day.)
