Default Overdue update

Can't believe I've let so much time go by without a build update. Getting ready to head out for EJS tomorrow morning and wanted to get a few things addressed before slick rock time!
My electronic sway bar disconnect finally gave up the ghost, so I yanked it and added a currie anti rock up front. You definitely notice a difference in handling; on road there is a bit more lean in turns. You can't drive it quite as hard as with a sway bar.
I got a pair of rear king air bumps for Christmas, and got them welded in.
Was experiencing some squealing while braking and figures after 43k miles I'd need new brakes...nope, the stock pads are still going strong! Just super dirty. Can't believe the lifespan of stock brakes.
Requested the local shop to check nitrogen pressure in my king coilovers. After being on the jeep for one year, there was little to no pressure in any of the shocks. I had no idea they bled out and will be investing in a nitrogen recharging kit so I can monitor it myself. FYI, I never noticed a ride quality difference.
Was told my driveshafts needed new ujoints....come to find out, I bent my rear shaft out wheeling and didn't know it. Had to have a new rear shaft built.
And, for the piece de resistance....finally upgraded my gearing from the stock 4:10 to 4:88, wow what a massive difference. Rolling on 37's I needed to use the skinny pedal frequently on obstacles, and brakes while going downhil. Took it out for a shakedown, and I'm in love all over again...the pumpkin crawls! Yes, score!
Heading out first thing in the a.m. And plan on rolling through monument valley tomorrow. Plenty of pics and reviews from EJS to follow.

Yep, long overdue. And greatly appreciated. Sounds like you are about set. Take plenty of pics. Let us know in advance when you are heading back to Seattle. We will lay on a wheeling trip.

Desert playtime is rapidly coming to an end and I'll be heading back to the land of mud and logs next month. Going to take a new route back to Seattle and explore some ghost towns in western Nevada, a quick run on the Rubicon trail, and exploring up through eastern Oregon.
See you all soon!

At least you got the timing right this time, leaving Phoenix for Seattle in June is perfect. Welcome back. Walker has changed a lot since you left, we'll have to do a run when you get here.

Sign me up! The desert rocks have been fun, but they all start to look the same after awhile!

Nice Alex, Id love to hear your trail report. The weather permitting was the only reason we waited til the end of june didn't want any chances of getting down there and not being able to run it. We may possibly try Fordyce on the way back home to but we will see how much time we have left. Have fun on your trip man.
