It looks like you had fun. I might be interested in a run to the desert. So is the Jeeping a lot of rock crawling, trails or dirt road driving? All are fine- I was just curious- if it's a lot of rock crawling and trails I'd bring my CJ 7 but if we're cruizin' dirt roads maybe the JK as it's a little more roadworthy than the CJ 7. I'll watch for the next trip and if you're open to other members going along maybe I could steal away for a day or two.

It was a blast. The trip was a pretty good mix of all of the above: dunes, rocks and dirt roads. Most of what we were on was dirt road.

The Ground Hog rock crawl area is pretty nice, but smaller than I expected. My JKX isn't lifted and running really small *cough* street tires and did okay, but I was really wishing I had more clearance. Surprisingly, I did fine on the dunes.


You're absolutely welcome to join us for the next run... Date TBD, for now. Would love to see that CJ or your JK!
