Portland Area JK People.....
Just bought my first Jeep about six weeks ago (my other 4x4s are mostly Dodge trucks used for logging) and have been planning what mods to do in what order.
I live 2.5 miles up a logging road off highway 20 between Corvallis and Newport and commute to Salem where I work for the State.
I want to go to the Jolly Jeepers "Back to Basics" Rally July 19 & 20th on the Tillamook , so the first order of business is to get my off road sticker and recovery gear.
Would be open to a get together and wheel with other NW forum members almost anytime..

I know this thread is an older one, but I live near some of you guys so if you want to head out Browns Camp or something, give me a shout. I live out at Jones Farm next to Intel in Hillsboro.
If you're into shooting thats good too.

Welcome. We'll have to get a trip out to Brown's camp this fall. I am out in Damascus so I often head up to Mt. Hood (Barlow Trail area) to play around. Jeeping is fun but Jeeping and Shooting is

I'd like to check out Barlow Trail some time and I'm always up for a trip to Browns Camp. As for the shooting thing, I used to own a pawn shop almost 30 years ago and used to collect lever action rifles, but have since got rid of everything but a Colt Government model 45 with a 22 adapter (for target practice -- not the "Hush Puppy" with a silencer). This was given to me by my father and is WWII vintage. As far as I know, it has never been fired in 45 mode, but has been regularly oiled and cleaned. I can do all the shooting I want on my tree farm in Blodgett but rarely take the opportunity. Shooting is like drinking and wheeling -- not advisable to be done alone. I've already drank my quota for this lifetime, but maybe we can get together for some wheeling and some shooting this fall.

Just holler! I'm heading up to do some fresh mudd'n today for an hour or so near Potratz. Not sure if its blocked off or not, they were logging it a few months ago. I might have found a another way in.
