I am happy to see everyone mentioning the government and how they don't use money on infrastructure. Just wait until the power grid starts to fail that is America's weakest link right now! Get the, generators ready lol

You don't need to maintain roads as much if you push everyone in to large cities. Which is also their goal

We get a temporary bridge that should re open the interstate by the middle of June. Ya so I think I will just continue to take the alternate route... I am a lil scared at this point.... lol

I'd be concerned about the alternate route since I'm not sure whether their infrastructure (bridges, etc) can handle the standard I-5 traffic. The temp bridge should be fine if the .gov keeps a close eye on it to monitor how it's performing.

The alternate route bridge is only about 10 yrs old maybe... it is good... lol

It's a different thing being new vs. being able to hold the traffic load. They are not necessarily tied together. ;-)

You drive a Jeep. Just put a snorkel and cross the river directly. No bridges needed! ;-)
