I was up FS 74-73 last weekend, lots of snow and lots of Christmas tree hunters.
I took my grandson up to play in the snow.
Since we were traveling alone we didn't get too far off the beaten path, (we did get above the crowds at Lonesome lake and make a pretty epic toboggan run for the 7yr old rascal)
Anyone interested in doing a snow run up past Lonesome Lake?

I hope it does dump.
We don't have to make it, we just have to try!
We were about 600M above Lonesome lake on a spur and it was pretty deep and pretty lonely.
The Grandson had a great time sledding down the length of the spur road.
Maybe a little less happy about the long trudge back up!

It was decent actually, where that pic was taken there was about 2' of snow. The snow packed really well. I was at 4 psi so I had good flotation. After we tied down the tree we kept going uphill and it got deeper. We got to a snow drift that was easily 5' deep. I really wanted to keep going, but I was by myself and there wasn't any decent trees around to winch off, so I flipped around.
