anyone interested in doing some trail running? i just got my 35's on, and i'd like to go trail romping. im running stock everything else, so i can't do very much. i dont want to risk breaking anything because its my DD. my girlfriend's cousin is in town from korea, and where he's from, there isn't much of an outdoors life, let alone wheeling, so i'd like to take him site seeing atleast in the mountains.

again, it'd be easy trail running, might just pick a Forest service road, and see where it takes us, but it would be grand if someone wants to actually take the lead and show us some good trails, and/or photo ops. and, again, im all stock cept for tires and lift (no drivetrain upgrades, no real armor, stock gears, etc.) if there's any interest, post here and i'll check throughout the week. i have friday off, so i was thinking then, or maybe sunday. im sure santa is bringing someone some great jeep stuff, so let's go try it out!

I'm down. I haven't hit any trails since I moved to Seattle in August. I'm only running 33's with no lift and I've got a dana 30 up front, so light service trails sound great!

you guys should check out the tehuya trails near bremerton, if theres nothing closer to you. its a pretty easy run with some optional rock gardens and a mud pit...but you can bypass them if you wanna keep it easy.

that site is pretty good for trails up here, good pics and descriptions

that sounds good, but damn, that's a pretty far.

we'll set up a time and meet location for everyone if there's enough interest in driving all the way over there. where is your exact location? im in downtown seattle. so taking the bremerton ferry would be no problem for me. it's seriously a few minutes away from my apartment.

but again, let's gauge the interest. if there's enough, we'll get something set up. we could even meet on the other side as well. i have an olllllllllllllld CB with the magnetic antenna base you stick on the outside. but it works....i think.

OR

if anyone has any near-by trails you know of, or even heard of, i'd be willing to try it. lets get this done quick! its already tuesday.

You won’t find anything closer than Tahuya. It’s an hour and a half. Maybe Reiter if it was open, or the Cle Elum (fortune creek, van epps) area if you drive 90mph on the freeway.

Right now your options are Tahuya, or Walker Valley to the North. Both are excellent, but start with Tahuya. Walker Valley has less bypasses, less mud holes, far more boulders, probably not a 4dr friendly place. I was doing lots of multipoint turns in my 2dr. Even managed to scrap the top of the ARB bumper on a rock.

3rd winter option is probably Zillah out by Yakima. I’ve never been there but hoping to give it a try in February.
