Switched the hardtop for the soft top yesterday and will be running that (with no sides or back) until fall. Helps that I have covered parking and pretty much only drive on the weekends.

Ida had the doors off today but I still need to put connecting plugs in my stupid power mirrors so I can put them on my relocation brackets.

Been completely topless and doorless 4 days this year. Ran Behind The Rocks, Fins N Things and Metal Masher in Moab and did the Triple X show this way. Soft top's been on for 3 weeks and had it down this weekend. Gotta love the sun in Seattle

And slob, great to hear from in Wyoming. Wild weather there for sure.

Glad every one is enjoying the sun! Hope it continues for awhile! Love the freedom...and the looks.

So far only taking the freedom top front out. Still working on my garage's winch to remove the hard top so the soft top can get in.

Problem is the garage's ceiling is too low so I am cutting two truces and building a frame to hold the cut beams. The winch will be attached to the roof's frame, which I am also reinforcing, just in case. In this way the hard top "disappears" in the garage's attic.

If everything goes according to plan should be done next weekend. Too much stuff going on at the same time.

I'm using a mechanical type I found in Costco. It's actually a platform suspended by steel cables, around 4x4ft, with a hand crank that I'll adapt to hold the hard top. Weight capacity more than enough.

Huh, it seems like a good idea so I can keep the top over the hood and out of the way, but I dont want it to fall on the hood

The platform construction is very solid. You just need to make sure to bolt it to the roof's joists. It also has a lock that prevents accidental operation.

In my case I want the rooftop completely out of the way, hence opening the hole on the ceiling and building a frame to support the ceiling joists that I'll cut and another frame to attach the platform to the garage's roof's joists.

I'll upload some photos once I'm done.

Was topless/doorless all weekend, then had to put it back on for some storms and colder weather. However it looks like it about to come off again tonight all the way til Monday of next week.

Edit: Sorry didn't see this was the Midwest Forum, I'm in MO. Was just browsing around the "What's New" tab. =D
