The nuts on the bearings on my Slayer stay tight. Maybe I'm just not riding it hard enough.

Finally got around to making the pictures of my M6 accessible:

That thing is awesome.

Im still going to build up a DH bike. I just cant decide between an M6 or a V10. The new v10 looks pretty nice.

This is what I originally ordered but cancelled.

The clear blue over the raw is awesome.

Thanks. I definitely like the Intense works finishes. I briefly looked at the V10, but my preferred dealer isn't a Santa Cruz dealer and I've wanted an Intense of some sort or another for a few years now.

Lots of beautiful bikes here for sure... Not shocked to see a bunch of big hit, long travel rigs on the forum!

I ride a light racing bike as a trail rig here on New England's rocky, root filled trails. It has treated me very well for years and has taken more abuse than expected or should.

Specialized Epic Disc....

Yeah I love the v10 as well. I don't know, might have to build one up to.

I put some lighter tires on the ride and got it down to 36 lbs.

Alright...I've been looking around and wanting to get a XC Recreational bike(newbie). I live in Louisiana and no crazy down hill mt trails, but got some nice places to ride. I'm looking at a Rocky Mountain Trailhead, Rocky Mountain Fusion or a Specialized Rockhopper Comp Disc! Any advise on these or any other models in this range?? Thanks!

Nice bikes here, I'm looking to get back into biking, I used to ride BMX street and some flatland.

Any tips for choosing a size?

I'm looking at a Specialized Rockhopper, seems like it would be fine for running the trails around here.

I'm thinking 17" or 19", I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam.

Thanks.

I'm 5'10" and I ride a 17" Gary Fisher Tassajara. I love my bike and it's great for the trails in LI. If I were you I would definately stick with the 17" and don't get sold on a 19" that a store has in stock. A smaller bike is easier to control on the trails. If you were going to ride the boardwalk or streets then I would go bigger. Go to Brands in Wantgh to check out their large selection to find what you want, then you can look at other stores on the Island to find a good deal.
