SPD or eggbeaters. Clipless is the only way to go!

I hated mine at first because I ate it so many times. The slow motion clipless crashes suck.

I rode with toe clips for years so it took some getting used to.

my wife did a slow motion crash right into a saguaro with her clipless. Those are the worst crashes though!

You will fall if you ride clipless. It is both inevidible and hysterical at the same time. But once you get used to them, you won't ride without them.

Took my new 29er out this morning. It's a little different with those big wheels. Its a little scary (but AWESOME) how fast you get moving with those bigger wheels. Crazy amount of momentum from the gyroscopic effect. It was good to get out finally, been a waiting a long time...plus no crashes today!

New to the forum, but I have been riding and racing mountain bikes for about 10 years.
If it has two wheels and a handlebar I'm in

Specialized Epic is my main ride, but I also have a hardtail 29'r for certain occasions. I also have a Roubaix raod bike that gets a lot of seat time also.

The 29er thing is definately different. It is a little more difficult going through the technical stuff, still trying to get used to is. I feel like I'm better with bigger wheels, though.
