Yes. Have ridden it for the past five years. It's the one ride that I don't miss. It's crazy seeing that many bikes all in one place. And with that many riders, it makes doing a century go by a lot faster.

I attempted my first century ride in Little Rock this past Saturday and was unable to finish. My friends turned off to do the metric on me so I was left out behind all the packs and riding into a 10mph headwind all alone. Made it to mile 78 before I called for a SAG wagon. I had also never ridden over 50 miles in my life.

Really thinking about coming over there for the race. May try and get my uncle to come and bring his RV. Would be a cool trip to have 3 or 4 guys in the RV and park near the start line.

This is the easiest way to get a century done. Usually I have to do them alone or with one or two other people. You don't see anyone else for hours and hours. In this ride, there is never a spot where you don't see other people. You are never alone.

I have found that it's a little difficult to stay with other people that you are riding with for the first thirty miles. It is so crowded, and you get lost in the packs. When I ride in this with others, we always have certain rest stops that we will wait for everyone else ot catch back up.

And four miles from the finish is the beer stop. You can't miss it. All the beer and BBQ you want for free. Of course, you still have four miles left. It's a really great experience. Do it.

I definitely want to. Will shoot you a pm as it's coming up if I am and maybe we can catch up. Do they hook the riders up pretty well with goodie bags?

Sounds good.

Yes, the goodie bags are pretty good. You will get a water bottle, a t-shirt, samples of a lot of the vendor's supplements, coupons, and some other stuff. It changes from year to year with all that you get.

You may need to look up camping spots now, though. I don't know how they work, but if you want a hotel room anywhere within 100 miles of Wichita Falls for that weekend, you need to make reservations the year before. Last year, there were, I believe, over 14,000 riders.

Thanks for the offer. The only thing that would prevent me from coming right now is getting a new job and not being able to take that Friday off. Wouldn't be worth it to drive down Friday night late and try to ride so early Saturday.

I live in Amarillo, and we drive down Friday night. Usually get there with about an hour left to register and check out the trade show. Get up early and ride. Eat. Leave after a shower on Saturday, usually. It's tough, but it's the best ride I have ever been a part of. It's worth it.

I hope that you were able to make it out there this last weekend. It was a great ride. Started an hour early because of the heat. It broke the record for hottest day for the HHH at 109. I saw a lot of people in the medical tents. It was a tough one, but it was still a great time.
