Photo's - Not just jeep, any and all...
I'm sorry to say that my camera batteries were dead.....
The other morning on the way to work....
I pull onto the main road from our little gravel road subdivision. As I start accelerating I see this white bird get up on the right side and fly in front of me to the left. I think to myself...."oh a Ptarmigan".........but as soon as I think it my brain tells me "no...Ptarmigan are not white this time of year. As it flew in front of me, by the way it flew, I could tell it was a Robin. I saw an albino Robin....couldn't believe it. I feel pretty darn lucky...!!!
Then....not 2 hundred yards away, in front of me I see a Bald Eagle about 150' above the road. Just about at the time I see him, he tucks his wings in and starts to stoop. I can see there is something on the road. Sure enough, he swoops down and snags a snowshoe hare right in front of me. At the time I thought he was flying away from me, but as I was picking up speed by then, I realized he was coming directly at me trying to get altitude with this pretty good sized animal in his talons. I did in fact have to slow down as it seemed that he wouldn't clear the jeep. At the last moment he veered off and made a circle up into the woods.
Then about another 100 yards down the road there was a cow moose standing there.
Pretty exciting morning....
