Thumbs up The Washington DC Basilica

So last weekend Katie and I went into DC to see the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. An absolutely beautiful church. I've been there 3 times before, but it was during the graduation of my 3 cousins, so I didn't get to wonder and take a bunch of pictures of the building, I was focused on the graduation.

But this time, I had all day to just enjoy it. And I did, and I took plenty of pictures. 1079 pictures to be exact, in the span of 4 hours.

I am very glad i remembered my tri-pod, the place was very low light (to a camera) and everything had a reddish glow to it due to the lamps. but needless, I managed to take some awesome pictures if i do say so myself, and here they are... now the first batch are all HDR images, took me a while to do all these...

Thumbs up part 3

that's all the HDR's I did. I need to go back again because some didn't turn out at all and i want to re-do a few of these. Plus I did a number of panoramic shots that didn't work out and I need to re-do them as well.

But a few normal pictures turned out...

But it was a beautiful place to see and the weather that day was amazing. I do want to go back again soon. If you are ever in DC and have the chance, go see this place, you'll love it.

Hard to take pictures of churches like that. It looks like it took a lot of ideas from chuches in europe. Nice shots.
