Got my headers on today and a free dyno! The dyno only claims that it put out about 9 rear wheel horse power which is kinda disappointing but it def feels better driving. At low RPMs it sounds sick but at high it sounds like a honda civic with a coffee can for a muffler on it. I'm gonna buy a DDR to see what that brings. Joe are you running just the ddr or are you using it as a rezonator?

Wow, I've been following this thread and that is not what I was hoping to read. I still have hopes that this could be a reasonable step to take (for the price) to get extra umph, but I'm certainly not ready to drop that kind of coin for 9 extra rwhp. Keep us posted on this Articanalog...and thanks for the information.

You got it my man! I don't know I have a cai and a catback as well and it was only showing me 10 hp over a complete stock jk...very weird. I just ordered the DDR mbrp muffler thing and I'm gonna see how that works out as far as sound goes...not sure if i'm gonna use it as a rez or a muffler. We'll see, also in a few weeks the shop i go to is getting the Diablo software so I'm going to be custom tuning the headers and that should give them life. I'll keep you guys posted.

I tried using the DDR as a muffler but that didn't work.

here's my dyno btw...It's weird because the canned tune on the diablo actually dropped my horsepower. I'm assuming that's because it's running lean with it. I'll post another graph once I get the custom tune.

When i installed the headers, I left the two rear cats off and just went with the two high-flow ones that came with them. The factory cats/resonators in the back are unmonitored so I figured they would just restrict airflow or create unnecessary back-pressure. Turns out, they also help tone down the noise. It was definitely louder but not like a Harley. More like a big pile of shit. So I bought the DDR and replaced the old muffler. It didn't help. I talked to a guy at MBRP and he said I should put the old muffler back on and move the new DDR to the middle where the long straight pipe is under the driverside seats. Well, by then I had already cut everything up. So, I decided to weld in a glasspack right in the middle of the long pipe. Now it sounds much better.

If I had it to do over, I would go with the two highflow cats and then put the DDR under the seat area and then run a straight pipe out the back.

Wait but the kit comes with two highflow cats...I have highflow cats on right now...And i was saying the exact same thing as you just reccomended. Putting the ddr in the middle and straight piping out the back. Can you sum that up again for me? sorry for my confusion!
