Mine weighs 5,000 pounds and I get a full 2.5" from the AEV lift. I think AEV assumes the Jeep will be heavier than showroom stock when they design the springs.

Aside from looks and tire clearance, I hafta say I love this suspension. With geometry brackets and less back-spacing at the wheels (I'm using 1.5" spacers) the Jeep handles and rides great on the road. On the trail there is plenty of ground clearance for the stuff I do, and the extra suspension travel provides more flex and rides better on the rough stuff.

 

Love everything about mine. I get a little over 2.5" because I have the stock bumpers still. I'm running 285/75/17s 34s measured at 33.1".
