Moving to Vegas
Moving to the Vegas area and wanted to say Hi. I should be driving out to Vegas from Omaha here in a week or so. Just bought a 2012 Rubi from forum member EK's JK. Not new to JK's or Jeeps. The ex had a '10 JK and I did all the aftermarket work on it to include a rough country lift kit, gears, winch, etc. I previously owned a TJ and an XJ making my back to the Jeep world with the JKU. Hope to get out on some trails when I get in. Until then here are some pictures of the Rubi.

I'm really no stranger to the Vegas weather. Been going to Vegas 2 to 3 weeks every other month for the past 36 months and my Fiance is out there. That and I've been to the desert several times for deployments and it never really bothered me. Really looking forward to getting out there.
The only thing I'm not looking forward to is living in her condo until we get a house. I NEED A GARAGE!!!!

Well as you know there are a LOT of available homes here. If you are looking for one with a nice backyard and a 2 car garage one of my neighbors walked. He dumped a ton of cash into his back yard. Pool, patios, koi pond(s). We are in the NW and as it stands right now there are about 4 jeepers here although most are pretty quiet. Vegas is that way though. Only down side to the house is no rv gate but some don't care about that.
I can PM you address if interested. Association dues are ok, only about 75 a month. Another fun trend in Vegas. The assoc leaves most people alone.
Lastly the house I do not think is for sale just yet. No sign in yard but it has been this way for around 3 years now. He would pop in and out once in awhile. Left his dogs there for two years and pissed everyone off.

Yeah. By all means there is about.a dozen off roading groups on meetup.com. there is VV4W.com. and there is just random people here too. Becarefull where you live. Section 8 housing is going in everywhere. It's about to be simmer here and that means no doors and no top time. Yes things will get stolen out of your jeep if you leave them in there. I'm up in north vegas. Hit me up and ill take you to apex. It's the closest place to have din around here with out driving a hour away. And sorry you missed the snow. Next year

Wouldn't say I MISSED the snow this year. We've had 2 blizzards in 3 weeks here. I've been utilizing my 4wd to get good parking spots. I just pop her in 4wd and climb up on a 3-4 foot solid ice plow push. Getting some good articulation too. Hey, I even parked straight too! LOL The tires are 35" so that may put into perspective the size of the plow push.
