Royal Purple Max ATF in Auto trans??
Are there any problems using RP Max ATF in the auto 42RLE? I found some posts saying some people had problems not shifting properly after using RP. Thinking of using RP Max ATF in my auto trans and transfer case. I called RP and they say it's compatible with the ATF+4 Any input anyone?

I wouldn't use anything that didn't say ATF+4 on the bottle.
There is no need to migrate away from what is supposed to be in there.
If RP is compatible with ATF+4, then why not put it on the bottle?

As already indicated, Mopar ATF+4 is already synthetic and, warrantee wise, a “perfect” oil for your transmission.
Here’s a link where the Dealer thought Royal Purple was used in a tyranny that puked. Do you want to go through that hassle?
I was at the Dealer today and picked some up for $5.35 a quart.

Mopar ATF+4 is synthetic and is supplied by valvoline and is the same as valvoline atf+4 which is synthetic. Why spend more for the RP? I replaced my tranny fluid at 38k and it still looked good.
