Default New shocks for teraflex leveling kit

I'm installing the Teraflex leveling kit and want to replace my shocks as well. Do I use the stock shock length? I was thinking Bilsteins but if anyone has any other suggestions, I would like to hear them. I want a high quality off road shock with good road manners.

Don't we all, I got a set of rubi take offs. Awesome on road, great off and easily available for cheap. If your concerned about the length get front shock extensions but I didn't and it feels fine.

I just ordered the teraflex kit and have a set of takeoff rubi shocks and springs...i was told there would be no need for diffrent shocks. I would suggest the rubi ones.

The expression "There's no need for new shocks"...can mean many things.

It is important to remember that unless your lift is so tall that the stock shocks can't reach the ground anymore...you don't NEED new shocks for the lift.

The main reason for new shocks is it allow more wheel travel, primarily droop/down travel.

If they are TOO long, they may not compress enough to allow full UPTRAVEL though....so you want them to compress short enough, but, extend as far as possible.

If you do not off road, or don't off road where you need/want the extra articulation the stock shocks for example can be ok...

If you want to IMPROVE your articulation, you can get longer shocks, without even getting a lift...just substituting ones that compress enough, but extend further.

And so forth.

Food for thought.

I have a Rubicon so maybe I will keep the stock shocks.

I'm very happy with the leveling kit and my stock Rubi shocks... not sure how close we are in mass if you'd like to see my rig.

Do these shocks exists. One that's extend further, but compress enough? Such that you can keep your factory bump stops, but add the TF LEVELING KIT (1.5" only)

Anyone know if shocks for a 2.5" lift will be too long for a the TF leveling kit? I need new shocks, and I know I'll eventually switch to a 2.5" later on.

Dave @ Northridge recommended OME's to me last year. Still haven't gotten around to purchasing them since I have more important things to use $350 on my rig. Waiting till I replace the pucks for the performance kit (which wasn't out on the market at the time).
