Default Modified JKS Front Track Bar

The new re-designed JKS front track bar is approximately an inch and a quarter shorter than the original track bar. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the shorter length after replacing their old design with the new design?

Asking because I have much more thread showing now with the newer design - just seems like it wouldn't be as strong.

Primary concern is the loss of inserted threads due to a shorter bar. Planning on a big ride soon, and don't want to tear things up, plus I need to be able to drive my Jeep the four hours it will take to return home.

Also, now I have it installed, the new design looks like it could hit my ARB diff cover. Need to perform some flex "tests" to verify, but I'm concerned at the moment. After I check, will follow up with my findings on the possible interference issue (for the record, I have not been using any sort of aftermarket front track bar bracket).

I was worried when I read the instructions, that it called for a press to make minor adjustments for aftermarket dif covers.

I didn't receive any instructions with the JKS trackbar "upgrade", but was told no one has had any interference issues yet with their ARB diff cover. Good thing I kept the original bar - may have to make an emergency un-modification.

I think they just put it in there so people know it was sesigned for the stock cover and if it rubs the aftermarket oneuse a press not a torch to heat and bent.

Why is everyone moving to a straight trackbar? My teraflex has a loop in it like he old jks but it seems everyone is moving to a straight one.

We have had zero issues with the new JKS Trackbar. Zero

Also we have installed a ton of them and we have not seen a diff cover that it rubs on and We have not had any calls with any issues.

I am fairly confident that JKS is among the top two of most popular trackbars so if there was a Issue we would know about it.

David - Thank you for your observations. Do you know why JKS went with a shorter bar in the re-design resulting in so much unused thread at the axle end insert when compared to the original design?

Also, anyone else running the new design have a pic of the axle end insert threaded into the bar . . . would be nice to know if they all look "unthreaded" like mine.

I've got the same lift as you do. My camera is broken so I can't do a pic and its pouring rain outside so I just looked and didn't measure.

Anyways,I have 6 threads exposed. Looks like thats about what you had originally.
