Modified JKS Front Track Bar
I have the same issue as the poster with my front JKS replacement track bar. Very little thread inserting inside the sleeve. and my track bar does infact rub against my stock diff cover. I'm really curious if JKs is has changed their axle mounting end (brass colored piece) from the first gen to the second gen). I'm really thinking about just getting a Teraflex monster. I'm really not trusting the JKS bar. Considering that I was one of the early ones complaining about excessive flex in my first gen track bar and JKS denying in problems, then comming out with a replacement several months later

If you have over 1" of thread engagement you are just fine.
Also JKS has done extensive testing on the "Flexing" of the Trackbar and the JKS Trackbars flex less than the factory bar. The new Bar is way overkill but it works great.
Make sure the Gold part is configured the proper way .

I have both front and rear adj track bars from JKS and love them.....here is a pic of the front with threads showing.....running a 2 1/2 inch coil lift on the JK with a 3/4 inch spacer in the front to level it out for a total of 3 1/4 inch total lift on the front.

Thanks for the responses and pics - very helpful. Would love to see more if you guys have 'em.
Wow. I'm sure this is accurate David, but I would buy another track bar before I did the rock crawling/interstate driving I do with only 1" of thread engagement. I'm certainly no expert, but reading in the forum about track bar failures (not speaking of JKS solely here) isn't out of the ordinary. TBs must have a lot of force on them while being flexed during off-road riding.
Anyway, thanks again David for taking time to provide input and counsel with respect to this subject.
From the below pics, looks like the number of exposed threads can run anywhere from 5-6 up to mine with 20+ threads exposed. When I get the time, I'm going to go measure my new trackbar length to see if that's a possible variable. Doesn't seem like it would be, but who knows - maybe the bars come in different lengths.

Maybe your axle is not centered correctly and is more to pass side hence more threads exposed.. as u see from my pics I have alot more threaded area not exposed. I have no issues at all and I am only up 2" in front... double check the axle is centered..

I did go take some very quick measurements of the lengths. The original "big hoop" design is 27" and the new "straight w/ slight bend" re-design is 26" (measurement taken from end of the bar to the center of the bolt hole, and is just the black bar itself - i.e., don't include the axle end insert).
First time I've actually made the measurements, so the new design is indeed 1" shorter for some reason.
It's great that Dave from Northridge4x4 is taking the time to address this thread. However since JKS is a sponsor on this site it would be nice if Jim from JKS or another company representative could take a moment and chime in when questions about their products arise.
