If you notice the bolts that hold the steering box to the frame rails are at the bottom of a top heavy steering box.

You can actually see the box flex from the frame rail if you look down on the box from over the hood when turning the wheel back and forth due to this.

It seems a brace would fix this. Anyone in the aftermarket??

Not sure if "top heavy" is a factor.
The weak point is the frame rail.
There's not much in the area to brace the steering box to.

Why is the frame rail the weak point? It is the box itself that is flexing..

If you look at the JK box out of the Jeep you will see how top heavy it is. The bolts are at the bottom of a "neck" and then the whole weight of the box is at the top of the "neck" away from the bolts.

That will not brace the box though, only the sector shaft, correct?

That would do the trick. Looks like it braces to the other frame rail.

Do you need a drop pitman arm to install that or can that fit stock?

Well, like I said, the top heaviness of the box is not a factor.
When I look at mine flexing as you describe, the box is not distorting. It's the frame rail that is flexing.
The item in the post above will stop much of the side force placed on the steering box as the pitman arm swings side to side. That should eliminate a lot of the flexing of the frame rail.

It sounds like it will not fit with a stock suspension.
