Default VIPER Throttle Body

Hey guys, I just installed a Viper throttle body on my 07 JK. First observations are throttle response is definitely way up and the motor tacks up in rpm a lot faster. Cruising rpm on the highway also appears less resticted. No problems or warning lights and it bolts right up. It is almost a solid 1/2 bigger in diameter. The stock one looks really small next to the Viper one.

It is a noticeable improvement, but don't expect 20 hp out of it. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Mopar part # 53032837AB got mine for only $135 bucks!!!

I saw a thread on here about this. Is it the same tb as the 4.7? I'm glad someone finally confirmed this!

Oh, I forgot. Are you running superchips?

Yes, I have a superchips 91 octane tune in it and a volant CAI with it.

Only have about 5 miles on the Jeep since the install. Just put it in today but no codes after install and my test drive.

Will do. Here is a couple of pics with a tape measure showing the difference. Viper TB is 3 inchs and stock is only 2.5 inchs.
