Default Are you horny?

I mean what horn do you have?

I just replaced my stock horn with a Wolo Bad Boy air horn...
.amazon.com/Wolo-Model-419-Black-Design/dp/B000F5DQWY[/url]

... and I was half expecting it to blow my hood off. But it's kinda underwhelming. It is a few octaves higher in tone and seems louder but it's no tractor trailer horn by a long shot. The reviews on Amazon.com for this horn were good which swayed me to buy it. But with it installed, I'm not sure I like it.

So instead of trusting mass-market review, I'm going to a reliable source: jk-forum members! What horn are you using? Is it loud and do you like it?

I have the same one. It is okay, but I was also expecting a bit more out of it. I hope you get some answers!

How did you hook it up? You are limiting it if you use stock wiring. You should use a 30/40A relay and new 12v feed from the battery.

It's a straight stock wiring. I have the relay still. Maybe I'll try that instead. Can it be somehow linked to the steering wheel honker? From all I read, everyone has it wired to a dedicated separate switch.

Poked around a little and found this link...
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...highlight=horn

Gonna try using the relay tonight and wiring 8 gauge line to the horn. The stronger power directly from the battery should do the trick

Thanks WhosUrBuddie for the tip! Will update with results (if I don't go deaf after the post-wiring test-honk )
