Default Why flex arms?

i just read through the instructions i recieved with my full traction flex arm kit...they say to adjust them to factory arm length...why am i doing this? i don't have to make them longer due to the 4 inches i'm adding to the suspension? if they are the same length as stock why the point of upgrading? just curious.

The "flex" is only referring to the joints on the arms and give your suspension more articulation. You set length to stock so you can install them easier, once installed you adjust to correct your pinion angles. HTH

The stock length is just a starting point. Here's a detailed write up on your same kit.

However, this is the old style joints, so please ignore the grease, zerks etc. The control arm lengths and install will be the same.

The 4" comes with extension brackets. But most part it is the same kit as the 3 just different springs. I will be using that as a guide to my install...still greek about setting pinion and castor angles right now but im sure i'll get it..just not seeing it in my head good enough
