Default Help Choosing Quiet AT Tires...

I have read through numerous tire threads, but have not really seen and definitive opinions..... My 09 wrangler unlimited x is soon to need new rubber. It has a teraflex leveling kit and i will be doing a 1.25" bl soon. I want to go to a 33 - 34" diameter tire on the stock wheels (i know spidertrax spacers will be needed). This is my wife's daily driver and my only caveat is that i need a ultra quiet AT tire. Can anyone that has aftermarket AT tires chime in about the road noise of the tire that you have compared to the stock tire? I realize that just going to a larger tire with more tread will produce more noise than stock tires, but i know some AT tires are much louder than others.....

Thanks for any info !!

I've found my GoodYear Duratracs to be quite reasonable. They have only the faintest noise as you are coming to a stop with the windows open. Other than that you can't really tell much difference. Much better than the BFG TA/KO's I had before that.

I used the Goodyear wrangler silent armor tires in a 34. Great tires on and off road, and got over 50k out of them. No noise whatsoever.

I was going to go with wild peaks but changed to button terra grapplers at the last minute. Pretty quiet. Running a 34 and No need for spacers.

My last set of 33s were pro comp at's. They wore great and i got just over 44k out of them. Rode like a street tire and did great off road when a little air was let out.

And in almost three years they never needed to be patched, repaired, and held air pressure on the dot.

For an aggressive all terrain that measures in at 34 and does great offroad, I ran a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers and they took me everywhere i wanted to go. Extremely quiet on road too. Damn near unnoticable.
