I have a set of Nitto Dune Grappler 315/70r17's on my 2008 unlimited x. Traveling at 55 mph with the doors off and you barely hear the tires. I have been very pleased with them.

I have had both the BFG AT and the Duratracs. They are both fantastic tires on and off road. However, when the tires get older... they both start to have a little hum to them. My duratracs at 30k miles start to have a little howl to them now. Not as annoying as mud terrains though.

I used to run BFG A/T KOs. Nice quiet ride and last forever.

I'll say that again! Love mine. For a DD, they are hard to beat, good in all street conditions, although I have had them in snow. Good offroad as well, but not the best in mud. It's about trade off, and I have no regrets. 2cents....

i have no point of comparison personally to any other a/t or mud tire, but my duratracs are very quiet. you can hear a VERY minor humm at freeway speed, but its by no means intrusive.

I'm running the Falken Rocky Mountains. They are super quiet, look good for an AT and are fairly cheap. Would definitely recommend them.
