How bad is it going to be?
I'm going from ProComp x a/t 33's to Toyo m/t 35's. I'm concerned that these tires will really slow me down. I read that they were heavy. I have a 4 door jk jeep with 4.10's. I really want the toyo's now, but don't want to regear just yet(will need more $). Any suggestions on the gears when I do buy them? I feel like the jeep drives well now. I bought the jeep lifted and with 33's, so I have no idea what the stock drive was like.
The rpm difference for a 33" diameter vs a 35" diameter tire is roughly 5-6%....with the larger diameter dropping the rpms and a smaller diameter raising the rpms to maintain a given speed, etc.
Example -
For whatever speed you're at, if you stay at the same speed, but with the 35" instead of the 33" tire, with the following rpm on your tach:
At 3,000 rpm on your tachometer, the 35 would drop the rpm from 3,000 to around 2,820 - 2,850-ish.
At 2,000 RPM, it would drop you to about 1,890-ish, etc.
Hope that helps.

35's, 4.10's, and an auto aren't too much fun on the highway if you come to any kind of inclines. The tranny likes to kick down into 3rd quite a bit in that case. If you don't mind that you will be fine.
