A vice. Bout to pull mine back off and redo them. It's hard on the vehicle especially since jam nut on both sides. I'm hoping to switch to metal cloak soon since they line up better I think.

Best bet is to remove the arm and lock it in a vise. Once it is locked in a vise apply some red loc-tight then give that nut as much as you got. Once you think it is tighten enough try to make it a little tighter. You won't damage the threads and the nuts won't come loose.

Do you have lowers too?
I was under the impression the RK uppers can't be installed alone and meant to be installed with their longer lowers.

No lowers. There are 2 options with rock krawler. If you do the extended ones you need to do all 4. I didn't do that.

I have the longer upper to arms. I just had a machinist cut about 3/4" off each one.

As far as I know there is only one length upper arms (bout 99% sure). If you use their uppers you have to use there longer lowers or you won't be able to adjust the arms enough to get your angle right in the rear. Or you can do what gun dude did and cut them down and then use with their shorter lowers or stock arms. This was all confirmed by RK when I ordered mine.

Yep they only have one size uppers listed on the site. If they had 2 it would show ordering options for both.

This ^^^
I had a set up uppers but sold them.
I called RK. They said the threads are deep enough to be able to cut them down. Or you can request a shorter set of uppers.

There's two sets of lowers mentioned above.
Together they are meant to move the axle back 1-1.5"

The shorter lowers don't really serve a purpose other than some clearance and less binding. If you did want to raise the pinion, the arms would have to be adjusted shorter bringing in wheelbase.

I like the new RK Joints. If I decide on their arms. My plans are to request a set stock in length -to just enough to set pinion and center the axle like Curries/Synergy arms.
