We lock our arms down in a vise as a few others have stated above! 250 ft-lbs is basically a 250 person hanging off a 1 ft long wrench... otherwise meaning we want them tight

. Once the arm is set to length and the joints are oriented in the proper way then you can put one of the joint housings into a vise to hold its orientation and put a long bolt or rod through the center of the other joint to hold its orientation.

For everyones clarification we do only offer our uppers on the website for use with our X-factor rear lowers which would give you the 1" stretch in the rear. Seeing that everything is made in house though if you specify to us or the vender you are purchasing through what you are looking to do we can cut you a set of uppers shorter then our normal measurement.
