Default Protecting my underside

I'm attempting to piece together what I feel would protect my JKURs private parts. Over my past several outings I've noticed my rear diff, crossmember, and sometimes my lower control arm mounts get hung up. Sometimes preventing me from clearing obstacles (mainly when the crossmember gets hung up).

My thoughts are to install a trans/oil skid plate (not sure which brand yet), AEV rear diff skid, and possibly the Skid row offroad lower control arm plates(not sure I really need these). While I'm at it, I'll probably throw on the Riddler diff covers.

For reference, my 2014 JKUR has the TF coil leveling kit, and as soon as the BFG AT2s release in the 34x10.50r17 I'll most likely be adding those. I feel this would be enough to get me through the trails I'm out on and hopefully more down the road.

BUT..... am I missing anything? Anything else to consider? Thanks.

Well your not going to go wrong with some good skid plates for your engine, trans, tranfer case, and gas tank. Lots of brands to choose from the main limiting factor is cost. I'd say if your looking at several well known brands find the one that suits your needs and your budget.

The diff skids are going to be the big question, you will be smoothing out the transition on your diff but loose about a 1/2"-1" of ground clearance. So it could both help and hurt you. I'd for sure get some diff cover armor though like riddler.

Control arm skids are all about the same just decide if you want weld on or bolt on most people do weld on. Getting something to raise the rear shock mount would benefit you greatly. Synergy makes a rear control arm skid and shock relocation all in one.

Check out the rougn county diff skid. Dana 44 Rear Differential Skid Plate / Armor for 07-15 Jeep JK Wrangler [798] | Rough Country Suspension Systems
it does the the job of the Riddler diff cover and the AEV diff slider with one piece and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Get the EVO skid system. Covers everything important and works well (I'm not an EVO fan, but it works and is a fair price). Synergy lower CA brackets are good too. $35 and a couple welds and your brackets will be saved. My stock brackets lasted a year - should have put the skids on them.

Oh, and diff skids are pointless. You can't damage it and as noted, it just reduces clearance.

ID:	582990 (my jeep has only 3800 miles) My fronts are just about as bad... If you like the rocks than invest in some control arm skids. I sure wish i would of when mine were nice and fresh.

Thanks for the input fellas. I've seen the evo stuff and really like the price but I like the one piece design by rock hard and others more. I just feel it will do a better job helping the jeep slide across and breakover issues.

So looks like it's Rock hard skid, riddler diff covers, and Synergy control arm skids.

Would these be the way to go over the basic weld ons or are those not worth the extra money.
