Default 33's and rubbing?

Has anyone experienced any rubbing issues with 33x12.5 R18 on their JK with no lift. I am looking into buying aftermarket wheels and tires with a backspace of 4.5 to 5.5 inches. I had thoughts of a teraflex budget boost, but that may be something I do down the road.

You read so many different things. Currently I don't want to trim the fenders. Once again something I do down the road.

Anyone have any pictures of their 33's on their jeep.

I put 33x12.5x17s on my JKU with stock wheels and suspension. It does rub taking tight turns and I'm going to be installing a lift and spacers within the next month or so, but they've been fine for everyday driving. I only notice the rubbing taking very tight turns, which I'm trying to avoid until I put the new parts on.

Get some spacers it will fix your rub problem til you get your budget boost. Ran that way for about a year when I first got my jeep.

I had some minor rubbing at full turn on my 33's before i installed spacers, after that the only issue was when i poped off the rear fender before i got my lift installed, hit a culvert at speed which gave axle full flex and snapped the clips right off, fender went flying. Cost 3$ for clips to fix so no worries

You will rub off-road. Small 33s with 4.5" back spacing and tore part of the fender flare: Click image for larger version
