Default Chromoly Front Axle Shaft

Does anyone know if they make Chromoly Front Axel Shafts for the JK yet blew a u-joint out and wrecked both inner and outer shafts. looking to upgrade but I can't seem to find any for the JK yet

as far as i know they aren't out yet for the rubi. the D30 may be the same?
how'd you do it? come on, pony up the shots of your twisted metal...

I didn't take any pictures but I will try and get some from someone who did.

I even blew out the stub shaft on the drivers side

I think it was put together wrong because I haven't heard of anyone else doing that on a Rubicon with stock tires. It only has 11,000km's on it.

but I don't have any good pictures of it to share with you guys

what were you doing when it happened? if it doesn't look like you were off-road, you may just want to take it to the dealer. hell, you may want to anyway. it's not easy to break a front axle, never mind a front 44. email superior and alloyusa directly and see where they're at in development. you may even get to be a test rig!

does anyone have the e-mail for superior or alloyusa I am too lazy to look it up right now. and my slow speed internet (Dial-Up) doesn't help

That type of failure is absolutely unacceptable on a brand new vehicle that is supposed to have heavy duty components. If you are still running stock tires I can barely imagine a situation where even the most novice wheeler would create that type of stress.

There is a Link for Superior on this sites home page. They are a Sponser of Project JK. Take it to the Dealer and to have it replaced under waranty, if they find a problem with the Axles, you could cause a TSB to Open and a possible recall to benefit all buyers.
