Forgot to ask what is the rock situation. Are sliders needed for this run? We've never been there before and now own a naked '13 sport as opposed to our old '07 Rubicon.

No armor needed. This is a great run for a stock JK.

One note for those hiking there are no dogs allowed on the trail so they'd have to stay back while the others hike. I know because it happened to me the first time to Cougar Canyon.

Good to know...but watching that old video from 2007 where the front axle snapped was a little discouraging :(

The trail used to be difficult and it limited the type of vehicles that could make it through but about 3 years ago they started blasting the rocking into smaller sizes so the daytime patrols (Park Rangers) could easily get to Sheep Canyon. It really is an easy run these days without issues.

The RV Park is The Springs in Borrego. We are in site 912.
