Finally!
March 20th was a good day for me. I had my loan squared away and was now looking for my Rubicon. I used the JK locator web site to see who near me had the most of them in stock. The most ample supply was Long Beach Jeep. It is 62 miles from my house, but they also had 22 4 door Rubis. I called them, and as luck would have it, I got the general sales manager, Tim, on the phone. After telling him what I wanted, how much my funding was and what I needed for my trade (10% of new jeep cost) he said, "Let me call you back in 2 minutes." 2 minutes later, he called me back and said he had a black one that he could work with me on. I felt like a douche when I told him I did not want a black one, but it did not phase Tim. Tim had originally told me he would give me 3500 for my old car in trade and take 1000 of of the msrp sticker for me because I am a LEO. To make a already long post short(er) I got a 4 door, steel blue Rubi with auto, power windows, hard top and MyGig. Price after my trade OTD was 30,393.00!!!!! I can not say enough how well I was treated at Long Beach Jeep by Tim, Sonny and Gitano. The entire process took a little over an hour, including a short test drive. It took longer to drive down there from my house! It only took 9 months or so, but my Jeep is finally here!
Awesome! Last week I just happen to have bought the exact same Rubi you did. Did not get it from Long Beach, but I also had a good experience a few miles south of there.
What are your mod plans if any?

My first mod will be a coating of dirt from Hungry Valley some time tomorrow after my daughter's swimming lesson! After that, mostly performance stuff for now. Hypertech, K&N filter (maybe a CAI, but not sure yet) exhaust. A little later down the road, bumpers, OME suspension, a bikini top...I will see where it takes me. It is my DD, so I will not want to do anything too over the top. I am really happy with the way it is, for the most part. It can use a little more power on the hills at freeway speed, but thats not news.
I am sooo happy to be driving her now!

Bought mine at Long Beach also, Drove about 100 miles just to deal with them. It was the same experience. NO BS, price over the phone and the vehicle waiting for me. Signed the paper work and out the door in a about an hour. Best car buying experience I have had. Trending Topics

Congratualtions PoorDad, I can tell you are excited about your new Rubi. I think they offered the black one as it may be the hardest to sell in our climate. Good choice on the color you selected. Hope to see you on a run some time.
JKJeep, I will probably see you driving around town. There is another steel blue Rubi rolling around the SCV with paper plates on it. Saw it 3 times the day I bought my JK. Once in the morning before I even knew I would be getting a JK that day, and twice on the way down to LB to p/u mine. I took my daughter up to Hungry Valley and we had a great time. I was bummed that the road to Alamo Mtn was closed because there was still snow up there. They used to keep it open all year.
Thanks Toad! I have been looking for your rescue green JK for a while now, but I only see them in the 4 door variety over in my part of town. I guess I need to head east a little more frequently. Took my daughter for her first Jeep ride today up in Hungry Valley. I didnt have to put it into 4X4, but she loved all the "whoop de dos" out there on the trails. There were too many people out there, though. She has claimed the Jeep as her own, and named it "Pax." She also thinks that the back is a perfect spot to eat. When we got home, she kissed the outide of the door. I guess she is hooked!
