Finally!
JKJeep, I will probably see you driving around town. There is another steel blue Rubi rolling around the SCV with paper plates on it. Saw it 3 times the day I bought my JK. Once in the morning before I even knew I would be getting a JK that day, and twice on the way down to LB to p/u mine. I took my daughter up to Hungry Valley and we had a great time. I was bummed that the road to Alamo Mtn was closed because there was still snow up there. They used to keep it open all year.
PS
Sorry to high jack this thread Poordaddy.
No problem, JKJ! I am in Northbridge, btw.
Toad, I have been keeping an eye out for your Jeep long before this last week. Pax...because you can put a lot of stuff in it if you pack it. Thats her explanation.

March 20th was a good day for me. I had my loan squared away and was now looking for my Rubicon. I used the JK locator web site to see who near me had the most of them in stock. The most ample supply was Long Beach Jeep. It is 62 miles from my house, but they also had 22 4 door Rubis. I called them, and as luck would have it, I got the general sales manager, Tim, on the phone. After telling him what I wanted, how much my funding was and what I needed for my trade (10% of new jeep cost) he said, "Let me call you back in 2 minutes." 2 minutes later, he called me back and said he had a black one that he could work with me on. I felt like a douche when I told him I did not want a black one, but it did not phase Tim. Tim had originally told me he would give me 3500 for my old car in trade and take 1000 of of the msrp sticker for me because I am a LEO. To make a already long post short(er) I got a 4 door, steel blue Rubi with auto, power windows, hard top and MyGig. Price after my trade OTD was 30,393.00!!!!! I can not say enough how well I was treated at Long Beach Jeep by Tim, Sonny and Gitano. The entire process took a little over an hour, including a short test drive. It took longer to drive down there from my house! It only took 9 months or so, but my Jeep is finally here!
And for some reason LB Jeep has had a good inventory more often than not. Should be a good palce to go for all you wouldbe shoppers out there.
I wish I was closer to them. My wife took a call from Sonny, our sales guy, and he was calling to see if everything was OK so far, and to let us know we had free oil changes, too! Unfortunately, with the cost of gas, it would probably cost almost as much just to drive down to LB as it would to get my oil changed up here in Valencia. I might just consider doing it myself again, even though getting rid of the used oil is a PITA.
Congrats PoorDad.....I picked my up in Irvine and had a simalar experiance. Got mine for 650 over invoice using the costco or AAA discount. not sure which one since I was so excited to finally get my Rubi.....

I am really so happy for you. I know the wait was a long one. I have been in Moab all this last week so that could be why you haven't seen me. Hopefully I get to see that new JK of yours soon though. As for now.....have fun with it.
