what was the name of that camp ground? that trail looked cool. always looking for remote campgrounds close to home
It is Camp Evens

Bert, nice video. Was that Chris in Toyota?

Looked like you had a pretty good turn out.

You need to install a quick connect camera foot on your dash.

Curt, I like that, you need to send me the info on that.

Yep, that was Chris in the Toyota. About a half mile from Sand Hill on a steep clime he broke his front axle. So I winched him up to the top. Then we strapped up and we sent everyone else on ahead up Sand Hill. If I wasn't able to pull him up then, we would try a tandem pull.
But I put it in 4 low and locked up front and rear and got him on top and in to Evans Flat campground. From there he had no problems getting down Ranchria Rd back to town.

Spring? i go up there all year round, the snow made it my most enjoyable run up there yet. i'd like to go back up there real soon and run the other trails up there.

i think you would've gone crazy with your camera, it was beautiful up there.

Hey guy's sorry to be soo late with a reply but better late than never. We had an awesome time and got good video. I am still on vacation and will post after the new year. I am working on getting upgrades soon and might suprize the socal crew with another visit. You all are most gracious hosts and I wish you all a great holiday. See you next year.
