Default sandy hill

there is a big sandy hill near the campground, you can go up it a couple different ways. i went up the right side with no problem, once you get to the top the trail splits, if you go left you can get to the campground and if you go to the right you can get stuck. lol. i really like going up there and my 5 year old daughter loves going up there. she was a big girl the whole night, she was able to sleep and when she woke up i let her pretend she was driving the jeep. honestly i think i was more scared than she was. she said she would go with me next time, i told her only if someone else takes there jeep too. but anyways, yeah that sandy hill can really get somone in trouble if not careful. it's steep and sandy and there are rocks and drop offs. the right side is the easiest.

gotta say it
thanks for the help.
i ordered a t-shirt and some decals (gotta show some love after all that)

thanks
Larry

Larry,
I think where the trail splits and goes to the left is part of the Boarder trail that comes out on Saw Mill Rd. I have wanted to do that trail also.
What did you think about Dec. 1 for a Freeway Ridge run?

When you guys go up to Freeway Ridge, do you go up through Keyesville or do you go up the road off the Hwy. 178 (I think it's called Black Gulch, if I remember correctly)? I've ridden my motorcycle to Freeway Ridge via Keyesville, but the other route seemed kind of steep. I'd be interested in knowing which way you go and how difficult the trail is in a Jeep.

jckid,
I have done Black Gulch out of Keysville a bunch of times. I have never done Freeway yet and that starts off of Hwy 178 and connects into Black Gulch. You can continue on Black Gulch and it will cross Bradshaw Creek and then it will go onto Rancheria Rd. There is a trail that takes off towards the north or right of the trail right after Black Gulch and Freeway intersect. I've never been on that one either, but I think it may be part of the Boarder Trail that starts off of Saw Mill Rd. , but I'm not sure.
