Default How do I find trails? HELP!!!!

I made a post earlier about finding trails near Lake Morena and like 12 people have viewed it but nobody posted anything. So now I'm asking how to find trails in the SD area? Is there a website? Book??? What?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

bully17 -->

I know you are looking to some of us local San Diego people to help you out with your trail questions; but, there is this kind of divide between North San Diego County and South and East . . . and you are talking pretty far East Not lots of knowledge about those areas.

Although, you will be near Corral Canyon OHV area . . . there are many trails there, "Sidewinder" and "Bronco Peak" (the latter being quite a difficult trail).

Look at this Google Map. It shows Lake Morena near Corral Canyon . . . the staging area for Corral Canyon is "A".

Does that help?

Ty....

Thanks to all of you. I sent an email to Fred and he told me to go to REI and buy a map (which I did) but I also found some of the books you guys were talking about as well.

I really appreciate the help.

You aren't planning on going out alone are you? Unless it is basically a fire road I would take at least another vehicle with you. I sucks to break down and realize it is a long walk home.
