yea, go...I'll be leaving from West Covina on Sunday morning to head out there. Approx an hour drive to the trail, since you're in La Puente, we can meet up by Azusa exit off the 10fwy at the Shell Station over there! Let me know!!!

My first suggestion is wheel the heck out of it STOCK. Learn some stuff.. a lot of your questions will be answered along the way.

The first couple of NOW type things are recovery strap, a couple of d-rings, and a way to get air back in the tires since you'll be riding most trails aired down. Everything else can wait a while. Whenever people go out in groups, there is always plenty of other tools for the trail... and everyone is ready to break them out as needed.

See you on the trails.

Great advice in this thread...one more: save yourself the $500-1000+ install fee and use that money instead to buy any tools you need. You'll be much happier and have a great sense of satisfaction that you did the work, not to mention the knowledge you gain just by wrenching.

Oh geez tools, I have to constantly close my eyes when I walk through Home Depot or Sears to avoid buying tools I'll only use once every 6 months haha.

LOL! that's my WIFE's thinking!!!! She tries to put blinders on me or distract me whenever we get close to tools! But then who's she come running to 2 days later asking to assemble...fix....modify...take apart...or otherwise monky with stuff? But seriously... I know what you mean: SOMEtimes it is easier to just have someone do it for you: certainly not as fun...but as my buddy and I were just talking about his rig and what's left to do to it---> sometimes its just *worth it* to pay somebody else to do it---> why sweat and toil for 12 hours & be unsure of any install and have no 'warrentee' when some/most might just be able to work and extra 2, 3, or 4 hours of overtime and just have the money to pay somebody ELSE to do it and you've just saved/gained about 8 hours of your life back to wheel or spend with family/friends

Agreed. I've been weighing out things for example what lift I want. I've been reading around about the FT Ultimate 3" Lift and since I have a Sahara there's some concern with the whole partial off EPS thing. Reading that thread freaks me out but WOL has so much info that if I do end up getting that lift I'm just gonna have to beg him to help me install it lol.

In the long run though, if I do end up doing installs on my own or with help the long term benefit is the ability to save someone else on install costs. That is a big bonus IMO
