I was just at Star Chrysler Jeep last weekend. They only had one Rubi on the lot, and it was a 2008 2-door. It had a sticker price around $32K. I'm not looking for a new car, but just for kicks I asked the dealer to give me "crazy to pass up price", and the best he could offer was about $4K off the sticker, which is not a bad deal under normal circumstances, but certainly not a liquidation or fire sale price, as they say in their ads.

LOL!! hey dzdncfsd, it's great to have you on board and being that you're local, i do hope to run into you someday soon or if nothing else, i hope you will join us at our monthly suds-n-grub at fudruckers in lakeforest off of el toro rd. you don't need to have a jk to come and if anything, you might find it useful to help you shop for parts on your jk to come

let me know if there's anything i can do for you

Ok now thats just not right. Why do you have two jeeps and I do not have one?

Just read your writeup on Project-JK.com congrats on the second jeep. Unfortunately I'll be out of town this weekend but next week may start hitting up some of the local dealers again. I guess Orange Coast will be my next stop.

Believe me when I say that I wish we'd attended the Suds & Grubs before we started modifying our Rubi because there's so much knowledge with this group and you end up saving $$ by learning from other JK owners mistakes sorry guy's but I can tell you that at the Newbie Run talking to people went a long way in convincing Brenda to go with 35" (I wanted them all along) and not the 33" (thanks again ranger4949) and by reading the how-to's we are going to save $$ by doing the fender chop (thanks in advance WOT) versus buying fenders
Anyway WELCOME and let the Bank Account drain begin!

Thanks Toad I will make a note of that for future use.

I was out of town this weekend so haven't been able to make it out again to the dealers however have been in talks with a couple via phone/email and have a couple of different options to go after.

Right now I really think my biggest decision is x or rubicon. Both options have their pro's and cons. The biggest being that I work in the homebuilding industry and who knows whats going to happen in the next few months. Well lets not think about that but I do have a big decision to make. Not a bad situation to be in though. Either way its a jeep right?

So how often do you guys and gals have the meet and greets out here in the OC?

Thanks Again,

Steve
