Default jeep is at the dealer

jeep is at the dealer, there looking at the transfer case. even though i highly doubt it will get warranted i thought it was worth a try. while i was there i priced out a new transfer case for $2500. for that that price i can get a atlas so we will see what happens!

Ya, that sounds about right. I replacement transfer case for my Chevy 2500HD was just over $2K at a local drivetrain shop.

If they need to call me, I can be a witness that it has never been off road, only your ride to the Mall!

I heard that. You may be able to find one used. They hold up very well under abuse and even used ones are worth the buy.

David the mechanic at the Jeep event we attended this past weekend told me he ordered his and got it in less than a month...not sure how but he thought I was crazy when I told him about the lead-time issues people have been having.
