I was there last year and it was awesome....definitely going this year.

 

I was on the phone with them this evening in a conference call and they are really putting out a big effort this year to make it the better than ever. If you are thinking of going next year, I would not wait. This year is going to be great. But be good up there, the BLM will be in the camping area checking for everything.

I'm mostly a lurker on this forum as I have a TJ and not a JK, but I've wheeled with some of you. I see that some folks have some questions about King of the Hammers this year. What day you are planning to go? I can only go on weekend. Never been to one so will be a good expereince..

 

The race is on a Friday so hopefully you can at least get Friday off as everything starts to get torn down on Saturday.

 

So camp thursday night or Saturday night?

 

There's surprisingly little schedule info on the web, but yeah, the final seems to be on Friday. So I'm planning on getting up there mid-day Thursday to set up camp and checkout the vendors and whatnot. I'll be heading back to SD Friday after the race.

 

If you make it, if you find me, and if someone hasn't made the drive from Maine I will have an award for you.

I'll post my camp coordinates when I get out there (AT&T willing) and I'll have a pirate flag flying as high as I can get it.

 

Keep me in the loop too. I might take time off and get there Thursday too. Too far for me to decide yet
