Average high around that time is 47, average low is 21

Currently it is 48 degrees with a wind chill to 44, although we are in a warm week this week with a strong high. I wouldn't expect it to be this warm then.

Sorry, hope that helped a bit.

JKchick,

It'll be cold, no doubt about it. When were you planning to arrive? Thursday night, at least, we'll have a good fire (I'm bringing my fire ring, and I'm sure some folks will bring plenty of wood). If you're tent camping, I'd recommend a bag as close to 0-degree as you can get and maybe something to throw over the top of that.

Or just stay up all night. It happens.

I'm planning on going this year. Any suggestions on the best crawling viewing areas?

I have great new. I just got off of a conference call a couple of hours ago with one of the guys that are promoting the event and they have received their permit from the BLM. Getting the permit is always a challenge these days.

[QUOTE="littlered"]Hey guys,

I'm mostly a lurker on this forum as I have a TJ and not a JK, but I've wheeled with some of you. I see that some folks have some questions about King of the Hammers this year. My team, Big Ugly Racing, put together a 5 minute video to give some info on the race. You can also find other information about the race on the new site. I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing you out there!

Not quite the 11th hour, but that had to be quite a relief! Thanks for the update.

I'm coming down on Thursday too, I'll be looking for you guys and hoping you got a one of a kind pirate flag...not like everybody else at Johnson Valley.
