I knew the date but did not put 2 and 2 together to realize that we planned to go to Calico on the same day.
What about watching the race Friday, camp Friday night in “Hammer Town” then go do Crowbar, Bullfrog or….. In Johnson Valley on Saturday? There are a lot of fun trails out there that we can go explore.

I honestly don't have a clue how we'll find each other. We'll think of something, though. If (big if) I have cell coverage I can at least post coordinates. Otherwise, be looking for Jeeps with Project-JK decals on them.

I wonder if I can rent one of those big inflatable gorillas businesses put on top of their buildings.

Hay Desert Jeep, I just looked at this thread to see who was going with you and I can’t tell without a score card. You need to put a list on the front page. I have tried to work it out to go, but it is impossible for me to make it this year. So scout it out and we will hit it next year.

 

I've been thinking about how in the world we might be able to get folks together amid all the mass of humanity. The best I can come up with (unless we can get some GPS coordinates posted, which could happen) is to designate a a couple of meeting times and places in Hammertown for Thursday and Friday.

I'll put some useful info on the first page by Monday. Promise.

Just standing by for a planned link up spot for the EVO support/fan crew. Looking forward to meeting some Cali. brothers. I'll be driving the JK in from the Phoenix on I-10, leaving midday on Thursday, camping overnight and possibly returning home Friday after the race, might stay until Saturday morning. Anyone from the PHX/Tuscon area PM me if you want to get a convoy going and drive in together.
