Lift install help?
Just ordered the OME LT kit from Northridge 4x4
! I'm looking for some help with the install. I have a socket set and that's about it. I'll drive wherever (I live in Santa Clarita) and can do it just about any day that is convenient. It should be here 6/7. Thanks for your help!
O.K. Saturday 6/5 10 am my house. I'll PM my address and you let me know your beers of choice.

I am jealous, Kent! That is one of the kits I am considering for when the time is right. I have only put in the spacer lift in the front of my Jeep, but I would be happy to come over for moral support. I have Sat/Sun off now, so let me know.

I have had that lift on mine for over a year. I am really happy with it. Yogurt and I installed it in my garage in an evening. Toad helped a bit too. I'm in scv too and wouldn't mind helping you out. I have tools but no space.
You have seen this, right?

I like the lift. I put it on by by myself about two months ago using the Project JK write up. The instructions are good but I have two comments to add to them.
Make sure you have tall jack stands. I ended up setting my stands onto some wood shelves to get another 2-3 inches of height in order to be able to drop the axle enough to install the new springs (after jacking the jeep up 2-3 times). The other thing to watch for is on the back end, pay attention to how the new rear springs set. I had everything installed and bolted down and when I lowered the jeep back onto the floor I realized that one of the springs was very close to the track bar and would likely rub. I have to disassemble the back end again, rotate the spring about 90 degrees and then bolt it all back together again.
Did you order adjustable track bars and new sway bar links? You will need those to correct the geometry. I have to confess that I'm still tweaking is the straightening of the steering wheel because I occasionally have my eps come on when getting on the freeway fast on a cloverleaf entry. It is disconcerting the first time it happens. It feels like someone is hitting the brakes while you are trying to accelerate.
Have fun!
