Default Pinyon Mountain

Just wondering what are some good trails to hit in the Anza Borrego area. Haven't been out there and have the weekend off so was thinking of going out there tomorrow in the late morning and hitting some trails.

Zach, there are a lot of good trails out there. What difficulty level are you looking for?

I'd like to try something a little bit more difficult than Cleghorn this time around. I would really like to do something with some shallower water crossings if possible. Probably going to head out there around 1000 which means looks like leaving here around 0900.

Wish I could make it down there and run it with you, but I'd suggest Pinyon Mountain Road, which you should do fine on. The best parts are The Squeeze and Pinyon Dropoff. To get to the trailhead, from the intersection of 78 and Hwy S2, go south on S2 4.4 miles until you see a sign for Pinyon Canyon on the left side near the 22 mile post, and take a left.

Update, been looking online and found a few trails that look like fun. Sidewinder, maybe the easier side of Bronco Peak(as i don't have lockers and what i was reading was highly recommending them), and Gunslinger was in the area from what it said. Yet it doesn't show up on the trails map Ah o well Coordinates as follows

Bronco peak - 32.705601° -116.563432°
Sidewinder - 32.7243, -116.5587
Gunslinger looks like it has the same trail head so not going to bother with coordinates.

I'll be there hopefully around 1000(if i don't get lost) so if anyone wants to join or meet up somewhere and we can all go together then either reply here/shoot me a P.M.

Wouldn't happen to have GPS coordinates would you?
Think it'd be possible to run all of those i suggested and Pinyon Mountain all in the same day if it started at 1000?

Bronco Peak and Sidewinder are at the Corral Canyon OHV Area. Anza-Borrego is east of there. I've never tried to run both areas together, which would make for a pretty long day. Anyway, here are the gps coordinates for the start of Pinyon Mountain from the S2: 33.056888,-116.421575

Have fun.

I hope you're not going solo. I'd join you but, I have things that need to be done before next weekend. KOH

Oh, that's probably why i couldn't find it on the map. Way too zoomed in. I thought they were all one in the same area, didn't realize that there were multiple areas in this small region. I don't think I will either, I'm gonna go ahead and change my plans to just Pinyon Mountain for now and later on when i have more time and people going hit up Bronco and Sidewinder.
Thanks for the coordinates, I've seen some video's of "The Squeeze" and it looks pretty tight...

Ah yes KOH... I want to go but i have to work...
As of right now i will be going alone it looks like, well only vehicle on the trail.
Is there any way i can change my thread name to Pinyon Mountain? Now that I see where everything is in relation to eachother i don't think the first set of trails are in the plan.
